Showers of Blessing...

Don't we all secretly pray for blessings from our Lord Almighty?
I sure do that...I pray that every morning I be blessed with the best of days...
Isn't it perfectly normal that we are not happy with whatever we are bestowed with...and we crave for more?
I want to read out a couple of stanzas from one of my favourite hymns "Showers of Blessing"

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.


The thing to notice here is that "mercy drops are falling around us"...but we still plead for "showers of blessing"...

I may not be interpreting it the correct way..

But I feel that Our Lord, generous as he is, listens to all our prayers..Even though we ask for more and more..he patiently listens to all and answers all.
