The Aftermath!!!!

What a game!!!! I was absolutely glued to my seat during the entire course of the match. The English played really well, even though they were a man (read Wayne Rooney) short.

Finally it came down to a penalty shoot out and in the end Portugal prevailed.
It was a tough game that saw Portugal unable to score even though they were a man up for the last 40 odd minutes.

It’s really tough on the fans who believed that England had a chance at the Cup.
“We are not going home”…This was the song that was being sung by all British fans..
But sadly, they are all heading back home. It’s really disheartening, but that’s life.

To see Lampard, Gerrard & Ferdinand cry is not a pretty sight.

But otherwise it was one of the more even matches in the whole World Cup 2006.
